A total of 40 mollusk species have been documented within GWMP. Twenty-seven species of land snails and slugs and five freshwater snails have been found. These include the state rare species Striatura milium (Fine-ribbed striate) and Fontigens bottimeri (Appalachian springsnail). Additionally, eight species of freshwater mussels have been found within GWMP.
