Bridging the Watershed is a partnership between Washington Metropolitan Area schools, the National Park Service, and the Alice Ferguson Foundation. It provides educational science programs for high school students, along with giving students the opportunity to participate in field studies in area National Parks. Great Falls Park participates in this program in conjunction with the Alice Ferguson Foundation.

The BTW program contains five modules, with pre and post activities, for students and teachers to participate in. The program goals include providing students with a chance to study science in a natural setting and having activities that are relevant to a student's everyday life. All activities are student directed, with a teacher acting as a guide and facilitator.

For more information, visit the Alice Ferguson Foundation website. Also, visit the Bridging the Watershed website for specific information on BTW programs.
