Art in the Park 2012

Celebrating George Washington Carver's love for art, this event features local artists at work across park grounds. Visitors may participate in hands on demonstrations and instructional workshops with pastels, natural dyes, pencil, and more.

Wildflowers are a spectacular sight at the park during the spring and summer. Prairie rose, purple coneflower, black-eyed susan, and yarrow are just a few of the many native species found here that would have inspired young George.
