Cooperating Association

Eastern National, a 501(c)3 cooperating association and eParks.com, its e-commerce website, was formed to support the educational, interpretive and conservation programs of the National Park Service.

Over the years, Eastern National donations have funded special events, signage for trails and exhibits, publications, interpretive programs, research grants, internships, the purchase of historical artifacts, park programs for kids, reenactments, interpretive exhibits and much more.

Eastern National is proud to provide the Passport to Your National Parks® iPhone app for all who enjoy America's national parks! And, we have plans to make it available for other smart phone devices in the future.

The Third System fortifications consisted of 42 forts built between 1816 and 1870. They were used to guard all the principal harbors, rivers, and naval yards of the United States. Only the Advanced Redoubt of Fort Barrancas at Gulf Islands National Seashore was built entirely for land defense.
