Spend a week away from parents? Sure! But spend it among black bears, towering trees, rattlesnakes, and Barred Owls while backpacking on steep mountain trails? Oh, yeah! You'll start by learning the skills necessary for planning and enjoying a safe, successful backpacking trip.  And before you know it, you'll be climbing a mountain with everything you need to survive for four days and three nights on your own back.  In no time, you'll feel right at home as you sleep in the woods, swim in a mountain stream, kick back around the campfire, and develop lasting new friendships.  Camp lasts from Monday afternoon to Saturday morning.

Cost: $572. Financial aid applications are available at gsmit.org/summeryouth.html and must be received no later than March 22, 2013, so contact us today!
