Parks As Classrooms Video - TN K-5

This short video highlights the main themes, activities and lessons for Elementary grade levels in Tennessee. The video assists with fieldtrip planning by demonstrating the variety of park educational offerings and providing a sense of program setting and location. Each of the featured programs has a complete downloadable lesson plan with information about the in-park field trips as well as background materials and pre and post visit activities for your students.

More than 240 species of birds have been found in the park. Sixty species are year-round residents. Nearly 120 species breed in the park, including 52 species from the neo-tropics. Many other species use the park as an important stopover and foraging area during their semiannual migration. More...
