Overview
The fundamental significance of Great Smoky Mountains National Park is that it is a sanctuary for a remarkable diverse array of native plants and animals, providing a place that students can learn about the different animal groups. This unit is broken into three parts. The overall unit involves a trip to the park and is accompanied by one preparation activity and two wrap-up activities.Objective(s)
1) To teach students about the main classifications of animals.
2) To safely explore in the natural world under the direction of a park ranger.
