South Rim jump to North Rim

RIDE THE PARK'S FREE SHUTTLE BUSES AND SAVE FUEL !
Park & Ride! Grand Canyon National Park's free shuttle buses operate in and around the South Rim Village, and, between mid-May and mid September, out to the gateway community of Tusayan. No tickets are required, and bus stops are clearly marked throughout the park by signs.

Taxi Service
Xanterra South Rim operates a taxi service between Grand Canyon Airport, the hotels and businesses in Tusayan, AZ (7 miles / 11 km south) and Grand Canyon Village. 928-638-2822



Train Service
The Grand Canyon Railway offers train service between Williams, AZ (on I-40) and Grand Canyon Village.. 1-800-THE-TRAIN

Train Service
Amtrak (the National Railroad Passenger Corporation) offers train service from Flagstaff, AZ to points nationwide.  Reservations: (800) 872-7245 - Flagstaff Arrival/Departure times: (928) 774-8679



Air Service
Commercial air carriers serve Las Vegas, Nv, Phoenix and Flagstaff, AZ. There is limited air service into Grand Canyon Airport (10 miles / 16 km south of the park) from Las Vegas and elsewhere.



Car Rental
Car rentals are no longer available from the Grand Canyon Airport.



Bus Service
Greyhound Bus Lines 
(800) 231-2222 - offers service from Flagstaff and Williams to points nationwide. 928-774-4573 (Flagstaff Greyhound office)

Scheduled service between Phoenix and Flagstaff, and between Flagstaff and Williams and Grand Canyon Village is offered daily by Arizona Shuttle (928-226-8060 or 800-226-8060)

Rim to Rim Shuttle
The Trans-Canyon Shuttle runs between the north and south rims of the park once each day, in each direction, and the travel time is about 4 1/2 hours each way. This is the only regularly scheduled service between the north and south rims of the park.

  • The shuttle leaves the north rim at 7:00 a.m. and arrives at the south rim at 12:00 p.m.
  • The shuttle leaves the south rim at 1:30 p.m. and arrives back at the north rim at 6:30 p.m.

The fare is $80 per person one way, $150 round trip.
The fare is $65 per person one way to Marble Canyon, AZ

Reservations are required and can be made by calling 928-638-2820. Scheduled service is available between May 15th and October 15, with a limited schedule between October 16 and October 31.


 

North Rim

There is no airport or rail service to the N. Rim of the park. 
(The North Rim village may only be reached by road.)

Hiker Shuttle
The Grand Canyon Lodge provides shuttle service to the North Kaibab trailhead twice daily in the morning at 5:45 and 7:15 a.m. The passenger pick-up is in front of the lodge. Reservations are required 24 hours in advance.
