Railroader's Festival

Celebrating the 134th Anniversary of the Wedding of the Rails

Step back in time and experience one of the most important moments in United States history. Join us as we celebrate the completion of the first transcontinental railroad here at Promontory. May 10, 1869 was the day the original celebration took place and you are invited to participate as we re-enact the "Golden Spike Ceremony." There are special programs, food, souvenirs, music, and locomotive demonstrations. Parking and seating are limited and attendance is usually heavy, so arriving early is recommended. Check back for updates to the schedule of events.
