Temporary Closure of Waters Around Alcatraz Island

The Presidio Coastal Trail segment just north of the Pacific Overlook and adjacent to Lincoln Blvd remains CLOSED indefinitely. We have posted signage to alert bicyclists and hikers and with information for safe trail alternatives. More »

Upon Arrival:The closest parking lot to Sutro Baths is located at the Merrie Way parking lot at Lands End. The parking lot contains several accessible parking spaces.
The route adjacent to Louis' Restaurant leading down to Sutro Baths, is paved but is extremely steep. The pavement contains cracks and changes in level.Information about Sutro Baths can be obtained at the Lands End Lookout Visitors Center. The Lands End Lookout Visitors Center provides accessible restrooms and a small café.Departure:

A tactile model of Lands End including Sutro Baths is being designed and will be installed near the Lands End Lookout. We are also recording an audio tour which will be available at the Lands End Lookout. This tour will include information about Sutro Baths.
