OBJECTIVE: Reduce hazardous fuels to create defensible space.

DESCRIPTION: This project will remove brush and grass along the entire border between Homestead Valley and GGNRA. The project also involves removal of eucalyptus trees from the Pixie Trail area.

Homestead Valley is an unincorporated area located between the western most borders of Mill Valley and Golden Gate National Recreation Area (GGNRA). This community covers an area of approximately two square miles and includes of 1,100 homes. The area has an extreme vegetation overgrowth problem that includes French and Scotch broom, tall grass, and eucalyptus.
