Dog Management Plan/Draft Environmental Impact Statement (Plan/DEIS)
The Draft Dog Management Plan/Draft Environmental Impact Statement (Draft Plan/EIS)
The draft plan/EIS was open for public review and comment from January 14 to May 30, 2011. 4,713 comments were received - by mail, hand-delivered, in person at the public open-house meetings and through the National Park Service's Planning, Environment and Public Comment (PEPC) website. Bulk comments submitted on behalf of others were not accepted.
The NPS reviewed all comments submitted on the draft plan/EIS, and responded to the substantive comments in a Comment Response Report. Although a comment response report is normally only published with a final EIS, the NPS has chosen to release this report during the comment period for the draft Dog Management Plan/Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement, which was released for public comment on September 6, 2013, and is available for review and comment at http://parkplanning.nps.gov/dogplan While this response report is not open for comment, we are releasing it at this time to help commenters understand how their original substantive comments were addressed.
To find comments submitted by a specific individual, click here for a list of Correspondence ID numbers with submitters' names ; note that some individuals have opted to keep their name and/or address private. Search the public comment file for that Correspondence number.
