Utah Man Dies of Unknown Cause

On Sunday, July 19 at 6:45 p.m. (MDT) park dispatch at Glen Canyon National Recreation Area was notified that a 26 year-old male from Brigham City, Utah was discovered not breathing on a houseboat. Dispatchers were told the man was being transported to the Bullfrog marina by members of his party in a small boat. National Park Service medics from Bullfrog responded to the launch ramp immediately. At the same time, Classic Life Flight helicopter was launched. They met park medics at the launch ramp. Advanced life support treatment was provided by park medics and Life Flight personnel, but the victim was eventually pronounced dead on scene.

The incident is under investigation by the Kane County Sheriff's Office and the National Park Service. An autopsy is scheduled.
