Join Glen Canyon National Recreation Area on September 26 for a Day of Service and Celebration

This Saturday, September 26, please join staff from Glen Canyon National Recreation Area for a Day of Service and Celebration on National Public Lands Day. Volunteers are needed to help Glen Canyon clean up the Chains day use and swimming area.

The park will host a graffiti and litter removal event on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Volunteers should meet in the lower parking area of the Chains, located just off Highway 89. Please wear closed toed shoes with good tread, such as tennis shoes or hiking boots, and bring sun protection and water. The park will provide materials for graffiti removal and litter clean-up, including gloves, trash bags, and wire brushes.
