Glen Canyon will Waive Entrance Fees during Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday Weekend
Secretary of the Interior Ken Salazar announced free admission to all National Park Service sites, including Glen Canyon National Recreation Area, January 15 - 17, in honor of the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday weekend. Visitors who enter Glen Canyon during this period will not be required to pay the entrance fee at the automated fee machines, however, amenity fees, such as camping, boating and river use fees still apply.
Additional fee free days are planned for April 16-24, June 21, September 24, and November 11-13. The 2011 fee free days are intended to encourage the public to take the opportunity to enjoy National Park Service sites and other public lands.
