Glen Canyon Waives Entrance Fees in Observance of Veterans Day 2011

Superintendent Todd Brindle today announced that in honor of America's service men and women, Glen Canyon National Recreation Area will not charge entrance fees during Veterans Day weekend, Friday, November 11 through Sunday November 13, 2011.

The entrance fee waiver, in observance of Veterans Day, applies to all park visitors. The entrance fee waiver includes all National Park Service sites, as well as recreation lands managed by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Bureau of Land Management, and Bureau of Reclamation.

Waivers are good for the entire weekend. The fee waiver applies to entrance fees only. All other fees still apply.

This is the last Fee Free day for 2011. Fee Free days in 2012 are:

January 14-16 (Martin Luther King, Jr. weekend)

April 21-29 (National Park Week)

June 9 (Get Outdoors Day)

September 29 (National Public Lands Day)

November 10-12 (Veterans Day weekend)
