    The public is asked to use extreme caution when using the public launch ramps at Lake Powell. The decrease in water levels has reduced the depth of water in these areas, creating shallow water on the ramps with steep drop-offs. More »

  • Bullfrog Launch Ramp Construction

    Bullfrog Main lunch ramp is CLOSED for construction. All boats may use the temporary ramp located on the spit to launch and retrieve.

Fatality at Lees Ferry

A National Park Service (NPS) spokesperson for Glen Canyon National Recreation Area announced this afternoon that a 34 year-old male from Laramie, Wyoming was found dead at Lees Ferry today. The cause of his death is unknown at this time. The incident is being jointly investigated by the NPS and Coconino County Sheriff's Office. The man along with his family and friends was camped at Lees Ferry and planned to float the Colorado River through the Grand Canyon today. National Park Service received the 911 call at approximately 6:15 this morning.
