A National Park Service (NPS) spokesperson for Glen Canyon National Recreation Area announced this afternoon that park divers have recovered the body of an apparent drowning victim near the Bullfrog Marina in Utah. Divers located the twenty-one year-old in eleven feet of water, approximately 50 feet from shore at 2 p.m. Utah time. The body was recovered shortly thereafter. The victim was with a group of friends Wednesday night when the two non-motorized vessels they were in capsized. He was not wearing a life jacket. The investigation by the Kane County Sheriff's Office and the NPS is ongoing. |
