Applications are now being accepted for Glen Canyon National Recreation Areas 2012 Artist-in-Park Program
|
Glen Canyon National Recreation Area is now accepting artist applications for its 2012 season. The Artist-in-Park Program continues a tradition of artistic expression in support of land and cultural preservation. Participating artists spend four weeks working in the park contributing to the national conversation of preservation through their artistic medium. Glen Canyon seeks to fill three artist residencies in 2012. One residency is located in Wahweap. Two residencies are located in Lees Ferry and are part of the park's Arizona Centennial Legacy Project to highlight the significant role Lees Ferry played in the history of Arizona.
