The victim of a cliff jumping accident in Face Canyon on Lake Powell, who was reported missing on the afternoon on Friday, October 9, has been identified as 29-year-old William "Billy" Burke of Jackson, Wyoming.

The National Park Service and Coconino County Sheriff's Office continue to search rugged terrain in water more than 150 feet deep using a Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV). Search efforts are focused around the area where friends observed Billy enter the water after attempting a cliff jump of approximately 90 feet. The interagency search team includes vessels, a dive team, ROV specialists and law enforcement.
