Bartlett Cove is where you begin your journey,  On a clear day you can see the mountains where the glaciers are born. 
 

Here is where it all begins. Let's hop on the tour boat that is specially designed to cruise Glacier Bay. It's fast and agile—it can maneuver around icebergs, and since it is a catamaran (two hulls) it can even land on the beach to drop off campers in the wilderness!

All aboard! Be sure to hold on to something solid. It won't be long until were in the swirling waters of Sitakaday Narrows.

Did You Know?

Mt Fairweather

Captain James Cook named the tallest mountain in Glacier Bay, Mount Fairweather, in 1778.  As Southeast Alaska is a temperate rainforest, with an average of only 50 sunny days a year, it would require fair-weather to see that mountain.
