Travel and Construction Update
Expect up to four-hour delays during nighttime construction (Sunday through Friday, 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. and 2:30 a.m. to 6 a.m.) on the west side of the road between the West Tunnel and Haystack Creek (3.5 miles). All other times expect one-lane directional travel and a narrow corridor with 30-minute delays.

The St. Mary Visitor Center is open, however construction continues on a small portion of the parking area.

All transit operations are in full operation.

OTHER PARK ROADS
All other park roads are open, with the exception of parts of the Inside North Fork Road. Conditions can abruptly change. Please call 1-406-888-7800 for current information.

Lake McDonald  

Did You Know?
Lake McDonald is the largest lake in the park with a length of 10 miles and a depth of 472 feet. The glacier that carved the Lake McDonald valley is estimated to have been around 2,200 feet thick.
