Contact: Melissa Wilson, 406 888-7895 WEST GLACIER, MONT. – Officials at Glacier National Park announce the finalization of the 2006 Superintendent’s Orders (Compendium). Changes to this year’s Compendium primarily improve the clarity of the regulations. The Compendium includes designations, closures, permit requirements, and other restrictions imposed under the discretionary authority of the Superintendent, under the provisions of 16 United States Code, Section 3, and Title 36, Code of Federal Regulations, Chapter 1, Parts 1-7. Revisions to the compendium are the result of an annual internal review conducted by park staff. The complete 2006 Compendium is available on the park’s website at http://www.nps.gov/glac/pdf/compendium06.pdf. Questions regarding these regulations may be referred to the Chief Ranger’s Office at 406-888-7800. |
