Glacier’s 2011 Concessioner Operating Dates Announced

WEST GLACIER, MONT. – Glacier National Park officials announce the 2011 operating dates for park concessioners. These concessioners, who work under contract within Glacier National Park, provide visitor services including lodging, food service, retail shops, tours, transportation, horseback riding, guided day hikes and backpacking trips, and boat tours and small boat rentals. Services are listed in alphabetical order.

Belton Chalets, Inc.

 *The historic Granite Park Chalet is available for overnight use as a rustic hiker shelter.

**Services at the historic Sperry Chalet include traditional overnight accommodations and food service for overnight guests and day hikers with meal reservations.

**Hiker Shuttle provides connecting service from the Many Glacier area to the National Park Service Going-to-the-Sun Road transit system which operates July 1 –Sept. 2, 2011.

***East side shuttle service to trailheads and hotels between East Glacier and Waterton, Alberta, CA. Shuttle service to Waterton, Alberta will end after September 19.
