A Tribute to the Peace Pavilions

Tune: The Water is Wide

There are two peace - pavilions here.

The very first - to ever appear.

For Canada - and the USA

To share a park - had found a way.

The herds that mi-grate cross the line,

The birds that fly – can read no signs

Except for those – Mother Nature posts

That lead the flocks – from coast to coast.

We neighbors share – a common fate

And so instead - of borders and gates,

The land of Gla-cier and Waterton

Belong to both – yet exists as one.

And from the crea-tures in this land,

Our countries learned - to understand

That borders are on-ly for those who fear

And now we hold – each other dear.
