The Glacier Institute is a private nonprofit and provides an objective and science-based understanding of the area’s ecology and it’s interaction with people.

Discovery School is a 1-3 day outdoor education program designed for grades K-12 at Big Creek Education Center. Curriculum-based studies in aquatic ecology, fire ecology, forestry and other outdoor subjects in the Flathead National Forest and Glacier National Park meet MT state standards for math and science. Take the classroom outside!
