GPS for GIS Workflow
This site was created to help National Park Service units and personnel create quality GIS data with GPS technology. It presents a suggested workflow that can be followed formally or informally. If you are new to GPS data collecting for your GIS, utilize this site from the start of your project to help plan a more productive field season. If you are a more experienced GPS user, utilize this site as an occasional reference guide. This site is not intended to replace hands-on or classroom training for GPS and GIS technologies. It does not cover all of the possible uses for GPS technologies, such as the use as a navigational tool.
