The elements of data management are not new inventions. Several documents stipulate the
ideals of data management for National Park System units and Inventory and Monitoring (I&M) programs.
These draft data management protocols are not comprehensive lists, reviews, or syntheses of the criteria.
Rather than a list of mandatory policies and regulations, the protocols are guidelines that aid park personel with
immediate and future data management.
I&M Data Management
ArcView 3.2 and ArcGIS Cartographic Layouts and Templates
The Intermountain Support Office, GIS Program has developed a series of map layouts for ArcView 3.x and
ArcGIS software that adhere to the
National Park Service Graphic Identity Program standards. You can download the templates here or request
them from a GIS Specialist in the intermountain region. Each download file contains directions on how to load and use the
templates.
