This November, Doug Wilder was appointed to the position of MWR GIS Program Coordinator.

Doug comes to us from Alaska where he served from 2002-2006 as the data manager for the I&M Central Alaska Network. Prior to that he worked in Florida as a GIS analyst (1995-2002) for the state's fish and wildlife commission. His schoolin' is in geology (BS) and marine geology (MS). His GIS experience includes various modeling, analysis and processing of natural resource and facility (chiefly marine) spatial data including image processing. Experience includes custom GIS development for oil-spill response and remote field data collection.
