Permits

Film Permits
Commercial film and production companies that plan to film on park grounds are required to obtain a Film Permit. Permits are also required when filming will take place requiring special access to buildings and sites, filming in areas not open to the general public, filming outside of the regular posted park hours, and when props or special effects are needed. These are provided on an individual basis and there is a $50.00 non-refundable application processing fee per permit. The cost of location and monitoring fees depend on the size and complexity of the project. For further information, call Grace Reese at (717) 334-1124, extension 3161 or visit the NPS Digest on Commercial Filming and Still Photography Permits. Individuals with a private camera for home use are not required to have a Film Permit.

Special Use Permit
If you wish to conduct a formal event on the battlefield you are required to apply for a Special Use Permit. Certain areas of the park may be used by organized groups upon prior arrangement and with the permission of the park superintendent. For formal events to be held on the park, there is a $50.00 fee per permit. Contact Grace Reese in the park's Division of Visitor Services at (717) 334-1124, extension 3161 for additional information.
