Gettysburg, Pennsylvania: Portions of the horse/pedestrian trail at Little Round Top and Big Round Top have been temporarily closed, Gettysburg National Military Park officials have announced. The closure is due to resource damage caused by wet and muddy conditions. "Fortunately, plenty of improved trails remain open to horses and pedestrians in the park," said Bob Kirby, Superintendent of Gettysburg National Military Park. "Most of the trails were rebuilt in the last ten years with the help of volunteers from the Gettysburg Equestrian Historical Society and have withstood the recent heavy rains with very few problems."
