Gettysburg National Military Park Superintendent, Dr. John Latschar, right, presents a certificate from the American Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing (ASPRS) to National Park Service Cartographer, Curt Musselman, recognizing him as a Certified Mapping Scientist for Geographic Information Systems / Land Information Systems. As a member of the park’s Resource Planning Division, Mr. Musselman uses mapping, global positioning and geographic information processing tools in support of the park’s historic landscape rehabilitation project. His certification from ASPRS is based upon his education and training, participation in professional conferences, contributions to publications and reviews of his work by mapping professionals.
