Air Force Sergeants Volunteer at Gettysburg

More than 75 members of the Air Force Sergeants Association, Chapter 201, and the First Sergeants Council, based at Dover Air Force Base, will be working near the Trostle house at Gettysburg National Military Park on Friday, May 3. The group will be removing and replacing a Virginia Worm fence in the field northwest of the Trostle house. They will also be cutting brush and repairing fences and a stone wall southeast of the Trostle house.
The group is participating in the park's "Adopt-a-Position" volunteer program. Master Sergeant Rosalinda Lopez, Dover Air Force Base, is the group coordinator. The group will be working at the site on Friday, May 3, 2013, from 10:30 a.m. until approximately around 1:00 p.m.
Adopt-a-Position is a group volunteer program at Gettysburg National Military Park that provides field work to preserve regimental positions, battery locations and brigade lines on the Gettysburg battlefield. For more information go to:http://www.nps.gov/gett/ supportyourpark/adopt-a- position.htm.
