Gettysburg National Military Park sponsors Civil War living history demonstrations, battle anniversary guided walks, musical programs, and much more throughout the year. Check the schedule below for dates, subjects, and times. Most events are free of charge unless noted. Inquire at the park Visitor Center for further event information and check back for updates as they are made available.

Remembrance Day Parade
Annual parade of Civil War living history and reenactment groups through Gettysburg to the battlefield park. Sponsored by the Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War, the parade begins at 1:00 p.m.

4th Annual Luminaria, Soldiers’ National Cemetery
Sponsored by the Friends of the National Parks at Gettysburg. Luminary candles will be placed on each Civil War grave as a testament to the sacrifices made here in 1863. For further information, contact the Friends of the National Parks at Gettysburg at (717) 334-0772.

143d Anniversary of the Gettysburg Address
An annual observation with brief memorial services in the Soldiers’ National Cemetery at 3 p.m. Sponsored by the Lincoln Fellowship of Pennsylvania and held in conjunction with the Lincoln Forum Symposium at Gettysburg College.

December 1-31, 2006
An Eisenhower Christmas
The Eisenhower home is decorated in the traditions of the Eisenhowers. Some original decorations and Christmas cards will be on display. Included in site admission. (717) 338-9114.
