Volunteers are an important part of park operations. Volunteers at George Rogers Clark perform a variety of duties including: Living history programs and demonstrations, research projects, school group presentations, visitor information desk operation, special event planning, and many more duties.

The park is always looking for new volunteers (no volunteer housing is available.) For more information contact the park's volunteer coordinator.

Living History

Many of the park volunteers take part in living history demonstrations. A clothing library is maintained at the park and is available for use while presenting at the park or for offsite programs.

During warmer weather monthly gatherings of volunteers provide a chance to talk, share ideas, and learn from each other. These gatherings also provide an opportunity for the public to visit and learn about the people of the 18th century and more specifically about the individuals who lived within America's western frontier.
