All three units of Gateway-- Staten Island, Jamaica Bay and Sandy Hook-- are great places to ride your bicycle. Don't have a bike? You can rent a bike at Jamaica Bay, at Aviator Sports and Recreation, and at Sandy Hook, at Ray's Bike Rentals! Check out the maps below. (NOTE: Bicycles cannot cross several major bridges in the New York area.) Always observe the rules of the road while riding your bicycle through Gateway. Don't have a bike? Rent a bicycle when you visit Sandy Hook during the summer. Ray's Bike Rentals will open with limited hours beginning Saturday, May 14. The shop will open full time for the 2011 summer season on June 26.
