Project Feederwatch Blog: Journal Entry #5, April 3, 2011
NPS photo Northern cardinal and goldfinches at the feeder at Jamaica Bay Wildlife Refuge Project Feederwatch 2011 is coming to an end. My last log included birds I have gotten to know pretty well - 8 goldfinches, 12 red-winged blackbirds, 2 cardinals, and a song sparrow. My data has been submitted to the Cornell Lab of Ornithology to be included in their database. It will be interesting to compare this year's data with other years, and other regions. I'll start taking data for the next Feederwatch season in November - hopefully next year we will get more species and more birds! - Taylor Ramos |
