Fredericksburg Battlefield bookstore NPS PHOTO Can't read enough Civil War? When you visit the park, be sure to check out our bookstore units at several park sites. Each bookstore offers books, brochures, postcards, apparel, and driving tour CDs tailored to each site. All proceeds from these sales support National Park Service sites. The main bookstore units are located in a building adjacent to the Fredericksburg Battlefield Visitor Center and in the Chancellorsville Visitor Center with smaller outlets in the Stonewall Jackson Shrine and Chatham Manor. Did You Know?
The Battle of Todd's Tavern was not the largest cavalry battle of the war, but may have been the most important. Confederate horsemen delayed the advance of the Union just long enough so that the Confederate army could win the race to Spotsylvania which extended the war for eleven months.
