Fall Hours

Fall hours of operation for all public buildings of the park go into effect on Tuesday, September 6 -- the day after Labor Day holiday. Fall hours will continue through Sunday, October 30, after which reduced winter-hours take effect. The park is open Thanksgiving Day, with the weekday schedule given below.

The fall hours will include:

* Fredericksburg Battlefield Visitor Center: Weekdays 9-5, weekends 9-6, with weekend Sunken Road walking tours at 11:25, 1:25, 2:25, and 3:25

* Chancellorsville Battlefield Visitor Center: Weekdays 9-5, weekends 9-6, with weekend Jackson Wounding walking tours at 11:25, 1:25, 2:25, and 3:25

* "Stonewall" Jackson Shrine: Friday through Tuesday, 9-5 (closed Wednesday and Thursday)

* Chatham Manor: Daily 9-4:30

* Wilderness Exhibit Shelter (on Rt. 20): Historian on duty weekends and the Columbus Day holiday 10:30-12:15 and 1:45-5:15, with walking tours at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m.

* Spotsylvania Exhibit Shelter (off Rt. 613): Not staffed but fully accessible to visitors on a self-serve basis, dawn-dusk.
 
* Ellwood Manor (Wilderness Battlefield): Weekends and the Columbus Day holiday, 11-5

Did You Know?
The Spotsylvania History Trail consists a series of loop trails totaling seven miles. Visitors have options of walking one or more loops or driving the sections that parallel the road and walking the sections that are through the woods and fields.
