"Glimpses into the Future: 2012 and Beyond" Las Vegas, NM: Fort Union National Monument announces itsmonthly Glimpses of the Past presentation, "Glimpses into the Future: Fort Union National Monument 2012 and Beyond." The program will be held at the CCHP/Santa Fé Trail Interpretive Center, 116 Bridge Street, in Las Vegas, Thursday, February 16, 2012, at 7:00PM. From Junior Ranger Camps, to curriculum-based education programs, volunteer opportunities, special programs and presentations, the Monument has a busy and exciting 2012 schedule. Join Marie Frias Sauter, Superintendent, Lorenzo Vigil, Chief of Interpretation, and the ranger and volunteer staff to get a behind the scenes look at exciting programs coming your way this year. Citizens Committee for Historic Preservation will also discuss their 2012 event schedule and their efforts in preserving the rich and vibrant history and culture of Las Vegas.
