Rome, NY: The staff and volunteers at Fort Stanwix National Monument invite families with children ages 5 to 12 to join in the 2011 "School's Out at the Fort" series. The first program is on Monday, January 17 from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at the Fort Stanwix National Monument's Willett Center. We will be discovering together how the Earth is changing. This year the series is titled "The Backyard Club" and will encourage participants to make a mark on the world – starting in their own back yard!
"What's All the Talk About?" There are a lot of people talking about climate change, but can we actually see it? Become a scientist and decide for yourself if our Earth is changing. Then, tell us how you would like to help as we plan together "The Backyard Club" projects for the year!
