Hi! My name is Gregg C. Goose!

Welcome to the
Junior Ranger Program
at Fort Stanwix National Monument.
I'm here to help you become a Fort Stanwix Junior Ranger.

As a Junior Ranger, you can help National Parks in many ways:

-Learn the park stories.

-Stay safe.

-Help keep parks free of litter.

How do you become a Junior Ranger?

-Your parents can help or you can finish it all by yourself.

-You will need about two hours to finish.

-Complete all four bastions or points in the fort.

Follow the directions in this web page to receive your bastion gifts, your Junior Ranger Badge, and your Junior Ranger Certificate.

If you click on a word that is differently colored, like
bastion, it will take you to the Word List Page to help you understand its meaning.

Good Luck! And Have FUN!

Parents or Adult Helper:

Please become involved to make the program more dynamic for your child. The unit exercises are designed to stimulate your child's imagination. They are based on the 4th Grade Level. There are many challenges for your child. It is important that your child understand the stories of the park. An answer key is included as an instructional aide. Preservation through education is our goal.

Education Elements:

Reading comprehension, main idea identification, language arts, creative writing, following directions, analogies, arts and crafts, sequencing, problem solving, social studies, math (including geometry), geography, and life skills.
