1878 Colt DA

The 1878 was Colt's second double action revolver. Commonly called the Frontier Revolver, this was much larger than Colt's first double action making it possible to shoot .44-40 and .45 LC cartridges. These were offered in seven different calibers and ended production in 1907. Jailor George Maledon was known to carry 1878 Colts.

The only known image of Judge Parker in his courtroom is this one from the federal courthouse on Sixth Street which dates from the 1890s. There are no photographs of the courtroom located in the former military barracks.
