Facilities Available
Modern comfort stations and drinking fountains are located in the Infantry Barracks on the east side of the parade ground and in the visitor center although the former is better equipped for larger groups. Please try to arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled time to allow students to use the facilities.

At Fort Scott, several of the boxes and barrels are marked Fort Scott, MO. Not actually in Missouri, the fort was located four miles west, in what was then unorganized territory. The army used Fort Scott, MO as a shipping address to assure that supplies made it to the right place.
