Fort Necessity Interpretive Center Closed Christmas and New Years days

The visitor center at Fort Necessity National Battlefield will be closed Monday, December 25, 2006 in observance of the federal Christmas holiday. The visitor center will also be closed Monday, January 1 for the New Year's holiday. The park grounds, including the trails, will remain open to the public from sunrise to sunset. 

The Fort Necessity/National Road Interpretive and Education Center (visitor center) is open daily from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. except for Federal Holidays. 

The Albert Gallatin House at Friendship Hill National Historic Site is open Saturdays and Sundays from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 during the winter months.

Over 100 re-enactors participated in the tactical demonstrations of the battle during the 250th anniversary of the battle.
