Celebrate Independence Day on the National Mall
Festivities kick off with the parade on Constitution Avenue at 11:45am
Ride the metro or your bike to avoid traffic
And be sure to bring plenty of water and snacks
But remember no grills, fireworks, or alcohol!
Discover world cultures, food, and music at the Smithsonian Folklife Festival
And explore the Jefferson Memorials Junior Ranger Area.
Choose from two evening concerts: The Air Force Band and singer Jo Dee Messina at the Washington Monument, or the National Symphony orchestra at the U.S. Capitol Grounds.
And of course don’t miss the fireworks spectacular starting at 9:10pm.
So join us on the National Mall this 4th of July and celebrate 235 years of American Independence!
