A number of first aid tents will be located throughout the National Mall area. Personnel assigned to these tents are equipped to respond to most medical needs and emergencies as well as to request ambulance service. Working in partnership with D.C. Fire & EMS, United States Department of Health and Human Services, D.C. Department of Health, and several volunteer EMS response groups, the National Park Service will have mobile medical teams roving throughout the crowds to offer assistance. All First Aid personnel will be wearing credentials; also, park rangers will be wearing National Park Service uniforms as they patrol the Mall on foot or bicycle.
Each of the First Aid Tents will be identified by a white cross on a red background on each tent.
