Memorial Celebrates National Park Week

In celebration of the Presidentially-proclaimed National Park Week, Flight 93 National Memorial will observe the following activities:

Pure Pilgramage: More than One Million People Visit Flight 93 Crash Site in Shanksville, Pennsylvania

Junior Ranger Program Offered at Flight 93 Temporary Memorial to Elementary, Junior and Senior High School Age Children on Friday, April 24, 2009 

In addition, Shanksville Boy Scout Troop #151 will be conducting a trash pick-up at the temporary memorial to prepare for the upcoming spring visitation. The group has annually assisted the park by picking up trash for the past five years. Their services are recognized by the National Boy Scouts of America organization.

On Thursday, April 23, 2009, beginning at 9 a.m. Flight 93 National Memorial staff and volunteers will observe Earth Day by removing and cleaning weathered tributes from the temporary Flight 93 Memorial fence for the tribute collection
