Be A Junior Ranger

The Junior Ranger Program at Florissant Fossil Beds National Monument in Colorado

Earn a junior ranger badge or patch by obtaining our Junior Ranger Activity Book from the visitor center. Complete the activities in the book and then check in with a ranger at the desk. The average time for kids to complete the junior ranger book is 2 hours.

After completion, present your Junior Ranger Badge for a 10% discount on any one book sold by the Rocky Mountain Nature Association's bookstore in the Visitor Center.

Over 300 National Park units offer Junior Ranger programs, so get out there and start collecting them all!

The world's only known petrified trio of redwood trees is found at Florissant Fossil Beds National Monument.
