Overview
Fire crews responded to a report of a fire in the Lost Grove in Sequoia National Park in the morning on Sunday, September 27th and successfully contained the fire at seven acres. This is a human- caused fire and is under investigation. The fire started on the southwest side of Generals Highway. The highway was closed for several hours yesterday while crews worked on fire that spotted across the highway and cleared hazard trees along the road. Engine 51(Grant Grove), Engine 72 (Ash Mountain), Engine 32 (Sequoia National Forest), and Arrowhead Hotshots responded to the fire. Crew 91 patrolled the fire last night. The fire remains in patrol status.
